About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our highly successful Finance team in Sydney. Please note that we will consider applications from Melbourne or Brisbane.

The Accounts Receivable Officer will manage and oversee the firm’s receivables, ensuring accurate and timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Respond promptly to client queries
  • Regularly review and reconcile client accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between client records and internal accounts
  • Accurately process and record all incoming payments daily
  • Proactively manage and follow up on aged debtor accounts to recover outstanding debts

The successful candidate must have:

  • 2 to 3 years solid understanding on the accounts receivable function
  • MYOB experience desired but not required
  • Proficient in managing invoice processing, reconciling accounts and handling collections
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for effectively maintaining accurate records and managing client accounts
  • Experience in a professional services firm
  • Exposure to multi-currency transactions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Word, Excel and Outlook

 

Candidates with experience within the IP industry will be highly regarded
