About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our highly successful Finance team in Sydney. Please note that we will consider applications from Melbourne or Brisbane.
The Accounts Receivable Officer will manage and oversee the firm’s receivables, ensuring accurate and timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Respond promptly to client queries
- Regularly review and reconcile client accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between client records and internal accounts
- Accurately process and record all incoming payments daily
- Proactively manage and follow up on aged debtor accounts to recover outstanding debts
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Formal accounting qualifications
- Solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable functions (2 - 3 years’ experience)
- Minimum of 3 years computerised accounting experience
- Experience in professional services
- Competence with computerised systems including Excel and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced MS Word, Excel and Outlook
It is desirable for candidate to have:
- Inprotech & MYOB experience
- Exposure to multi-currency transactions
- Experience of monitoring unbilled disbursement and recoveries balances
